Assassin's Creed Just Made A Huge Mistake

Reports indicate that Ubisoft is planning to make at least 11 Assassin's Creed games in the coming years. This could be a huge misstep for the franchise, which is already trying to earn back player trust with Assassin's Creed Mirage. This is coming off the back of reports that AC 4 is going to be remade, despite not being a very old game. Assassin's Creed 4 is not only one of my favorite Assassin's Creed games, but also one of my favorite video games of all time. AC 4 Black Flag prioritizes player freedom by putting them in the world of Assassin's Creed in a very untraditional way. The game is designed to not only be a journey of self-discovery for the protagonist, Edward Kenway, but also a journey of player discovery as you move through the West Indies and live the life of a pirate who is discovering what it means to be an Assassin. With all of that said, does AC 4 really need a remake? Recent reports from gaming news outlets like Kotaku suggest that Ubisoft may be remaking this game.
