On June 23, the US Attorney General announced that four Chinese companies have been indicted in the United States for allegedly trafficking chemicals used in the production of fentanyl.

One of these companies alone has shipped over 200 kilograms of chemical precursors to the United States, with the intent to manufacture 50 kilograms of fentanyl, a dosage that could potentially kill 25 million Americans.
