Join Aqua Alex for his 30th trip to the Amazon River in South America!! This time, Aqua Alex is going to be very careful as he steps into the bottom of the river and sand to avoid getting STUNG! There is a species of fish that lives in the Amazon River and freshwaters of South America that is commonly associated with saltwater and oceans! Stingrays are known to live in saltwater, but in South America they have evolved to live and thrive in freshwater. South America is home to MANY species of freshwater stingrays and has the most abundant varieties of freshwater stingrays in the world compared to Asia which only has one specie.
