I joined a panel about the comment made by Wang Yi, Director of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee Foreign Affairs Commission Office, who said “Americans take all visitors from China, South Korea and Japan as Asians. They cannot tell the differences and it’s the same in Europe.” As I said during the discussion, I doubt people in China can tell the difference between Americans and Canadians.
