Before driving to Costa Rica, we were warned by so many people that Costa Rica was the most expensive country in Central America. But we figured, nawww!! It's been so affordable everywhere else, even if it costs more, it will still be affordable compared to the United States. As soon as we got to this beautiful country, we realized, wow they weren't kidding. The price of everything from campgrounds to food to laundry is wildly expensive to the point where I'm thinking, expat life in Costa Rica isn't so great after all.
