• Neh. 9:5 After the Levites have turned to the LORD, they also involve the people in their approach unto him. They call upon the people to arise and praise the LORD. The confession of guilt begins with a call to praise the LORD, to which the Levites give expression immediately. True confession of the guilt of the people of God takes place in a spirit of trust in the goodness of the LORD. We may know God as our Father and enjoy the closest intimacy with Him. We may approach Him with boldness with the certainty that He loves to have us as His children. But that does not mean that we would no longer need respect and reverence and that we can forget how high He is above us and everything and everyone. The awareness of His highness only increases the miracle of our closeness. Observe that they stood up to bless the Lord. Please always stand or kneel to bless God in reverence of Him.

• Neh. 9:6 One of the fundamental teachings of Scripture is that God is not one among many; He alone is the living God (Deu_6:4). heaven … earth … seas: God alone has made all things, and He alone preserves all things. Therefore, worship is due Him. The first section of this psalm (vv. Neh_9:5-6) establishes the mood for the whole poem: God is incomparable (Num_23:8-9; Deu_4:32-40; Psa_113:4-6). Please stop using the expression 'AMONG THE GODS'. There is no other God, but the living God.

• Neh. 9:7-8 God’s omnipotence in creation is followed by His sovereignty in His election. God is the God of election and of promises. Election is His prerogative, and He has the power to make His election come true. That power is evidenced by giving a name and changing it. It indicates His supremacy. He promises and fulfills His promises. He is faithful to His word, He keeps His word, for He is righteous. He faithfully kept his word to faithful Abraham.

Father, in the name of Jesus help me walk with you faithfully and keep my side of the covenant because I know you will keep Yours. 1 Cor 4:2
2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.
