Lab test confirms white substance found at the White House is cocaine

According to an official familiar with the investigation, a formal laboratory test has confirmed that the white substance discovered at the White House on Sunday is cocaine.

A U.S. Secret Service official reported that the substance was found in a small, zippered bag in a highly frequented area of the West Wing, leading to a brief evacuation on Sunday evening.

The duration of time the bag had been present in the White House remains unclear, NBC News reported.
