Those who demand freedom to do as they please and yet still demand someone else pay for food, shelter, clothing and education do not comprehend independence. So long as someone else is paying the bill, financially or morally, then you are living in liberty, a freedom granted by another who has authority over you and not independence. Having freedom, liberty and independence all demand responsibility, first, to behave in a way which honors others and next to protect those liberties with vigilance and diligence from those who prefer to make decisions on your behalf.. control you.” J Loren Norris
