Umkhosi Womhlanga or the Reed Dance is an annual cultural ceremony that takes place in Nongoma,

Their are two major Reed Dance events one in south africa and other in Eswatini

Last year the reed dance Eswatini had about 100 thousand goddesses attending and this year the number increased to almost over 150 thousand goddesses attending the event.

The goddesses are excited and as like any other human, they wish to share thebReed dance experience with others on social media, how ever that exciment is confronted by google and facebook deleting their shared images and videos dressed in African regalia and this has been going on for sometime now and now it is time to stop.

So the goddesses took it to Reed Dance to send the message.

Racism towards Woman and children abuse in any format must be punishable, the continuous harrasment discrimination, hate and degradation of african woman by google and facebook must immediately stop. We must practice and enjoy our culture withuout any insults.

We as the people we put our hopes and trust on nominated state organs accountable to the public, beside the guidelines written on paper the state organs have an obligation to serve the people and must prove by action in full filling those obligations.

The Films and publication board,and its directors,managers,the minister of communications and all its employees must be held accountable for failor to deliver or protect the genersl public from cultural blasphemy, woman and children abuse through cyber bullying and age restriction of African bonafide traditions there by sending ill informed choices to the viewer.

Besides hundreds of protest regarding the abuse of clasification guidelines by Google, Facebook , instagram, and many others , the Film and publication board has remained mute and no action has been taken to protect the people of south africa.

Recently the films and publication board and the minister of communicationshad public consultation on the guidelines , in their findings Tv Yabantu footage was used as an example for the public to assist on guidelines. The final document and the final guidelines state that no age restrictions can not be applied to bonafide culturall traditions.

The western culture is obsssed with breasts, sex and nudity. But in cultural context breasts are for nurturing a child, i myself was raised in this way.
Nudity is a western construct and is not truth to all nations.

Many social media companies continue to deliberatly abuse this format.

Woman abuse comes in many formats, physical, sociological, spiritual and mental.
We have the right to dignity and to practice our culture.

The constitution is the highest law in our country and some organisations think they are above the law and continue to violate our rights and abuse woman and chidren.
