Former U.S. President Donald Trump slammed U.S. President Joe Biden at a rally in Pickens, South Carolina on Saturday (July 1), calling him a “criminal and liar”.

At a rally marking the July 4th holiday, the Republican presidential candidate said Biden was incompetent and corrupt, adding his administration could lead to a third World War.

National polls have consistently shown Trump to be the front-runner in the Republican primary race by a wide margin.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll earlier this month showed that some 43% of self-identified Republicans said Trump was their preferred candidate, compared to 22% who picked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
