WalletHub's analysis reveals that Americans are projected to spend a substantial $9.5 billion on food alone during Independence Day incldinging money spent on the 150 millions hot dogs ate today. Americans are also expected to spend $3 billion on beer and wine, $6.5 billion on American flags, and $2.7 billion on fireworks. The total economic impact of the holiday becomes evident, despite the exclusion of emergency room bills from fireworks accidents.
