Guns don’t kill people, unemployed people who need therapy kill people. A recent study in Chicago showed that they were able to reduce gun crime by 64% just by providing job opportunities and therapy.
At an average cost of $48,000-$60,000 per person. They were able to save up to $858,000 per person in social savings because of the reduction in gun crime. Instead of funding police officers, we should find the true root causes of crime, which heart, economic opportunity and unresolved, traumas and inadequate conflict resolution skills.
