In Mark 10:17-21, we witness a powerful encounter between Jesus and a sincere seeker of eternal life. The man approaches Jesus, addressing Him as "Good Master," seeking guidance on inheriting eternal life. Jesus, in His divine wisdom, responds with a thought-provoking question, "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God."

Moreover, in John 10:30, Jesus boldly declares, "I and my Father are one." Here, Jesus unequivocally asserts His unity with the Father, emphasizing His divine nature and inseparable relationship with God.

Jesus lovingly urges the man to surrender all and follow Him, emphasizing the transformative power of genuine discipleship.

In this brief encounter, we see Jesus challenging our perception of goodness, guiding us to acknowledge Him as more than a wise teacher. He invites us to recognize His divine nature, to embrace the truth that He and the Father are one. May we, like the sincere seeker, respond to this convicting truth and proclaim Jesus as God, for in Him, we find eternal life and the fullness of God's love.
