I recently purchased the Segway Ninebot Kid’s Bike for my little girl in pink and I must say, its a fantastic purchase! My biggest surprise was how quickly my child learned to ride it.
Within 5 minutes of getting on the bike, she was able to ride it by herself. I decided not to install the training wheels that came with it and assembly was an easy process for someone whos done basic work on a bicycle before.
Most of the bike comes pre-assembled, with just a few parts left for you to put together such as the handlebar, pedals and kick-stand or training wheels.
The built quality is above average and much better than other big-box store offerings. The metallic paint job and sturdy frame make it a bike built to last.
Although the coaster brake seemed a bit strange at first, my daughter has been getting the hang of it after a week or so of practicing. The frame design is clean and free of any bottom-tubes, which ensures that little legs wont get stuck in case of a fall.
It’s definitely a well-thought design. The welded frame is a bit on the heavy side but it’s very sturdy, and the chain cover ensures that fingers and clothes dont get caught, although there is some chain noise rubbing on it.
The bike comes with a front brake and bell fitted on the handlebar, and the brake lever is made of plastic which is not my preference but it does the job.
In comparison to other kids bikes in the market, it is worth the extra $50 as the quality and durability is apparent. I highly recommend the Segway Ninebot Kids Bike to anyone looking for a sturdy, easy-to-assemble and well-designed bike for their little ones.
