The iroko tree (African teak) is a huge durable hardwood which is known to live up to 500 or more years. The timber is well loved for inner and outer use in house construction and furniture making. The huge logs in this video are found in a park in Central Europe. These were once the trunk of huge iroko relatives, trees that grow gigantuan trunks then grow tall and twiggy up its apex.
