Rocky Mountain High _ Colorado - My Return

Traveling North from Taos, New Mexico on Hwy 64, towards Colorado, I passed several amazing sites, a few of which I was able to capture on video while I was driving - pyramids (at least thats what they looked like to me), but also a couple more that I wished I had stopped for. Next time, I guess.

What I didnt stop for (I am still kicking myself for not stopping) was the Rio Grande Gorge and the Earthship Biotecture Visitor Center. See below for maps.

Now, I have gone over the Rio Grande several times in the past, but was far from impressed with it. I don't know if it was just because the water was low or that I wasn't very high up off of it as I was driving over. That is why it wasn't a big enough deal for to me to stop this time. Boy! Was I wrong. As I drove over, I couldn't help but look out the window at the 800 ft drop to the river below. The Gorge was impressive to say the least.

I didn't even see the sign for the Earthship Biotecture Visitor Center until I was passing it and didn't know what it was to begin with, but when I began to see these awesome Earthships built right into the ground as a Community, I was sorely disappointed that I didn't stop for that either. How was I to know? They even have a rental for those that wish to stay in an Eathship overnight

Well, my bad fortune this time, will be your good fortune next time if you stay tuned to my channel, because there will be a next time. I simply must stop and record these amazing sites for you to see. And their most certainly will be a next time.
