Wear clean, dry socks made of cotton or wool, and change them daily.
Protect your feet from extreme temperatures, and avoid walking barefoot.
Avoid smoking and limit alcohol consumption, as they can increase your risk of foot problems.
See your doctor or podiatrist regularly for foot exams and treatment of any foot problems.
Following these foot care tips can help prevent complications such as foot ulcers and infections, which can be serious for people with diabetes.
