Here are some foot care tips for people with diabetes:

Check your feet daily for cuts, blisters, sores, swelling, or redness.

Wash your feet with lukewarm water and mild soap every day, and dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes.

Apply a moisturizing lotion or cream to the tops and bottoms of your feet, but not between the toes.

Cut your toenails straight across and file the edges, but don't cut them too short.

Wear shoes that fit well and provide plenty of support and cushioning. Avoid high heels, pointed-toe shoes, and tight-fitting shoes.

Wear clean, dry socks made of cotton or wool, and change them daily.

Protect your feet from extreme temperatures, and avoid walking barefoot.

Avoid smoking and limit alcohol consumption, as they can increase your risk of foot problems.

See your doctor or podiatrist regularly for foot exams and treatment of any foot problems.

Following these foot care tips can help prevent complications such as foot ulcers and infections, which can be serious for people with diabetes.
