On our debut episode, we have 3 completely different but yet interesting articles. The first one is all about Genetic Rescue which is a mitigation strategy designed to restore genetic diversity and reduce extinction risks in small, isolated and frequently inbred populations. Then, we take a look at the SS Vienna which was a wooden steamer built in 1873 and was marred by a series of incidents before eventually sinking in 1892. Finally, we cover the coral cay Heron Island that is 50 miles north-east of Gladstone, Queensland, Australia.
