This state park located just a few minutes north of the Hollywood and Dania beaches and 27 mi from Miami. You do have to pay admission ($6) but then parking is free. Scenic undeveloped shoreline and maritime hammock greet visitors to this picturesque state park seven miles south of Ft. Lauderdale.
The park features a pristine beach that stretches for 2.5 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. This makes it an ideal spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. There are also several picnic areas available for visitors to use.
