Why Do Bikes Ride Humans in China?

Hearing that police were checking electric bikes ahead, these delivery guys had to lift their electric bikes and continue to do their delivery. They cannot afford to be caught or wait until the police leave.
Why did this happen? Again, it's the economy.
The financial difficulties at the local level have forced the police to generate their own revenue. Traffic fines have become an important source of income.
Police across #China are now cracking down on electric bikes. They check for helmets, license plates, driving licenses, drunk driving, whether the riders use designated lanes, and whether their electric bikes meet the required standards....etc. Most of the time, the riders can't escape a fine.
That's why they prefer to carry their bikes. They can't afford to abandon the bikes either.
