Ukraine soldiers storm Russian trenches and force them to surrender near Bakhmut

Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade eliminated a Russian unit near Bakhmut. Troops stormed Russian trenches and pelted them with grenades. The unit’s commander was then shot dead from just a few yards. Other Russians surrendered when they realised the fight was lost. The third battalion of Russia’s 57th motorized rifle brigade was ‘destroyed’. Ukrainian troops have attacked in Bakhmut in the wake of Wagner’s rebellion. Wagner captured the city but turned on the Russian MoD after withdrawing.
