Aftermath Of Anti-Tax Demonstrations In The Town Of Isara - Nigeria's Western State | November 1968

Police and Army units were deployed around the town including to serve as guards for the palace of the traditional ruler, the Odemo of Isara, Oba Samuel Akisanya. The Oba was slightly hurt when he agrued with a crowd which had gathered to protest outside of his palace which was burnt. The homes of some of his chiefs were also burnt as was his Mercedes Benz.
