The great smoke experiment introduction

By now we are all keenly aware of the smoke that appears to be coming from Canada. This is an unprecedented event and it is my intent to do some air testing of my own. I have devised a simple experiment to detect soot, a significant component of wood smoke. Something, I am not sure what, is wrong with this whole scene, other than I have never seen smoke from anywhere before. We need citizen journalists like myself to help find information. There are some out there who are telling us to shut our mouths and don't share information but that is intolerable to me.
This video was shot at Vitale Park at Conesus lake. The Dark to Light show was supposed to hold a meet and greet there but it did not happen. Neither did the smoke, and the weather also did not cooperate. I have the components I need for the first test.
