Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez discusses recent SCOTUS decisions

Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spoke about the important checks and balances that exist between the legislative brand and judicial branch on State of the Union Sunday. She suggested that the recent Supreme Court decisions such as that of the affirmative action case mark a move towards an authoritative regime. Ocasio-Cortez pointed to Justice Samuel Alito allegedly accepting gifts from billionaires lobbying against student loan relief as an example.
