The vision which has bound all of western civilization together is the vision of the superman.

But now, it seems that the image of the superman is in danger of slipping away from us; in danger of fading forever from our memories and hearts.

For many of us, it feels as if we are emerging from a fog. Where are we? How did we get here? On what distant star should we set our goal?

This the first episode of my new series, "Bridges to the Superman." In it, I outline the aim of the series.
