The Jetboil Sumo Cooking System is my new go-to for camping and backpacking trips. It was the only cooking item I brought on my recent kayaking trip down the Delaware water gap, and it worked perfectly.
I also purchased the French Press accessory which made it super easy to make coffee in the morning. One of the best things about this system is how simple it is to use.
Everything, including the French Press, packs down into the body of the cup, making it easy to transport.
I was impressed with how fast the system was able to boil water, especially considering it was used to make coffee and boil water for my Mountain House meals.
I highly recommend this product and consider it a must-have for any camping or backpacking trip. The flame is easy to control and puts out more BTUs in cold conditions and high altitude, making it great for all types of trips.
The only downside is that the new design doesnt work with all fuel canisters, so its important to test the canister before heading out on a trip to ensure it will work properly.
Despite that, the Jetboil Sumo Cooking System is incredibly efficient and perfect for a group of people. I was able to boil enough water for seven of us to eat Mountain House meals for dinner and breakfast without any issues.
One thing to keep in mind is that the igniter may appear not to work in direct sunlight. In these conditions, it can be hard to see when the igniter is working.
However, simply turning on the fuel, pushing the igniter, and then turning the fuel up can help you determine if its working properly.
Overall, Im extremely pleased with the Jetboil Sumo Cooking System and would recommend it to anyone in need of a portable and efficient cooking system for their outdoor adventures.
