Thundarr the Barbarian
"Secret of the Black Pearl"
After saving a old man named Tyron from the rat-like Groundlings, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla learn that the Groundlings are in search of The Black Pearl, which the evil wizard Gemini fears it's power. Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla agrees to deliver the Black Pearl to the village of Manhat (the ruins of Manhattan). But Ariel is captured and taken to Gemini's tower and Gemini demands that Thundarr and Ookla gives him the Black Pearl or Ariel will die.
Thundarr the Barbarian is an American Saturday morning animated series, created by Steve Gerber and produced by Ruby-Spears Productions. The series ran for two seasons on ABC from October 4, 1980, to October 31, 1981, and was rerun on NBC in 1983.
Thundarr the Barbarian is set in a future post-apocalyptic wasteland of Earth divided into kingdoms and territories, the majority of which are ruled by wizards, and whose ruins typically feature recognizable geographical features from the United States.
