Hellblade 2 Trailer Reaction: Combat Takes a Backseat to Brilliant Cinematics

As the sequel to the critically acclaimed "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice," this new trailer promises to raise the bar even higher. Immerse yourself in a world filled with stunning visuals, intense gameplay, and an emotionally gripping narrative. However, this trailer was disappointing overall. We stepped into the mind of Senua, which is key to storytelling throughout this game, but the lack of combat and gameplay in this latest trailer leaves cause for concern for this upcoming sequel. Combat was good in the first game, but the game was not combat heavy by any means…which is okay. The storytelling delivered. Ninja Theory needs to take what they did well in the first game and deliver a satisfying combat experience to accompany the gripping narrative they showcase so well. I have high hopes for this game, and I look forward to playing it when it releases next year…but the lack of gameplay and combat was a disappointment.
