IN THIS EPISODE: It’s a double-dose of mystery from the greatest detective ever – in “The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes!” First up, it’s a story originally aired February 11, 1946 entitled, “The Guideless Gypsy” – where Holmes and Watson find good companionship in a gypsy camp. But they also find kidnapping, attempted murder, and a beautiful girl who gives up her life for Holmes! And later, it’s an episode from March 18, 1946 called “The Adventure of the Blarney Stone” – where Sherlock Holmes "takes the law into his own hands" when a murder takes place at Blarney Castle. The victim was trying to kiss the Blarney Stone. And after our first story, I’ll tell you a bit about the radio show itself and its very interesting history.
