Octopath Traveler 2 - Agnea Chapter 5

We have arrived at the Grand Gala and it is time for Agnea to make her mark. Running into loads of familiar faces as we make our way there, this is one of the few stories that actually has a decent rising action to build up to its climax. Overall, I find this to be one of the better chapters the game has to offer, but there is a lot to be done once it is out of the way.

Narratively, we do get to see Agnea's progress as a protagonist, and she is one of the better examples the game has to offer. Over the course of her journey, she retraces her mother's footsteps and works on developing her own song/dance and it comes in incrementally. I did not find the Tropu'hopu chapter that worthwhile, but it is one of the exceptions over the course of her story. Her major challenge is completing the song/dance without losing herself like Dolcinaea did and offers a contrast to how the other path turns out. On one hand, it is good that I saved one of the better ones for last, but the problem is that I ended up doing the bad ones first...
