In this video Salih Fawzan is asked what is the judgement of kissing the Quran, and placing it on one's forehead and chest. He answers: There is no evidence for that. Some of the companions did that based on ijtihad. The Quran is not to be kissed, and this is the act of laymen and ignorant people.
