3 Lessons I Wish I Learned BEFORE I Started in Sales
Here are the three lessons that I wish I learned when I got into sales. Lesson number one. You can't please everyone no matter how hard you try. There are some customers that you could even do their roof for free, hand them a pot of gold, and they're still not gonna be happy. So it's okay to let those folks go and move on.
Lesson number two, you have to take all feedback to heart, even if it's negative, even if it's nasty, and even if it hurts. Oftentimes there's a shred of truth to all that feedback and integrating that feedback and asking yourself, is this true and can I, can I get better by adopting this feedback will help you skyrocket your growth much faster.
And lesson number three, you don't learn by doing. You learn by practicing. I wish I learned to do role play much earlier. I wish I could have gotten out of my own way because in sales it is the highest stakes game of our life. So if you don't practice and you're trying to figure it out in the real world, you're gambling with your livelihood.
