From the cradle, Jesus responded, saying, "I am a devoted servant of God. He has bestowed upon me the Book, appointed me as a prophet, and blessed me wherever I may be. He has commanded me to establish prayers and give zakat as long as I live. He has been gracious to my mother and has not made me an oppressive tyrant. Peace be upon me on the day I was born, the day I shall pass away, and the day I shall be resurrected."
