From September we will be offering two free classes. on Mondays we are studying Adi Shankaracharya’s Vivekacudamani and on Sundays, Ashtavakra Gita.

We warmly invite you to a series of online classes on various scriptures of Advaita Vedanta, which are being offered freely [as per the scriptures] by Advaita Vedanta Ashram Europe.

The classes will be taught by the Teacher at the Ashram, Satchitananda, based on the Teachings of his Guru, the world-renowned Advaita Vedanta Teacher, Swami Paramarthananda.

Satchitananda has personally received the approval and blessings of Swami Ji to offer these classes based on his teachings, and students can download for free the transcripts of Swami Ji’s teachings that we will be covering.

On Monday 4th of September, we will continue with our course studying the transcript: ‘Vivekacudamani 108 Verses by Swami Paramarthananda’, which you can download here:

On Sunday the 10th of September, we will continue with our advanced course, studying the transcript: ‘Ashtavakra Gita by Swami Paramarthananda’, which you can download here:

You can also listen to the live recordings of Swami Paramarthananda’s teachings on both of these scriptures on the Sastraprakasika app. [The app is currently unavailable, but will be available again soon].

In each class, Satchitananda will answer any questions that students have about the text in order to reveal the deeper meaning. Through Q & A, students will have a great opportunity to clarify their understanding and to remove any doubts they may have. Depending on the flow of questions, Q & A will be followed by a guided meditation allowing us to gain deep experience of the essential meaning of the truths we have discovered.

Classes will be via ZOOM.
The Monday class will start at 6pm Greek time.
The Sunday class will start at 5pm Greek time.

Students can join the classes at any time. There will be regular term breaks.

ABOUT SATCHITANANDA

From Satchitananda’s biography:

“He teaches with humility and aims to guide students towards a profound understanding of Non-Duality and even Beyond Non-Duality and thus to reveal their True Self/Nature as Awareness. He aims to reveal our Ever-Present but veiled Bliss, Harmony, Peace, Presence, Awareness. The Ultimate Truth is Awareness full of Bliss, but even this is only a pointer because What There Is – Is Beyond any concepts.

Since 2012, he did not feel he needed any more practice and IT was something that he just knew. He is permanently convinced in the recognition that there Is Only Brahman-Awareness and Abides As That.”

In 2021, outside the Vidyashankara Temple at Sringeri Math, His Holiness Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Swamiji initiated Satchitananda into a sacred Shiva mantra and gave him permission to pass this on to his students. This is the first time in history that a Grihasta [family man] has received such an initiation [and permission].

In April 2023, Satchitananda and the Director of Advaita Vedanta Ashram Europe, Andrew David Boyle, were given two blessed statues by His Holiness in the Guru Niwas Temple at Sringeri Math, to be placed in the Greek Ashram’s Meditation Hall when it is built.

They also received a letter from the CEO of Sringeri Math, Dr. Gowrishankar stating the Ashram project has the Blessings of the Jagadgurus and that Sringeri Math will help the establishment and flourishing of Advaita Vedanta Ashram Europe.

In keeping with tradition, classes will be offered on an optional donation basis. You are very welcome to make a donation, however it is entirely optional and in no way a pre-requisite for attending the classes.

Although donations are optional, do consider making a contribution, as all donations will go towards the establishment of our residential Ashram in Greece. Without donations, our vision will not be possible.
