Satan Hath Desired to Have You

Capac Bible Church presents Pastor Kemble with an encouraging message of hope and assurance for the coming days.

These are indeed dark and troubling times, and it may get even worse for the Christian. Peter encourages us to be sober and to be vigilant, because our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Peter was speaking from experience. Jesus had told him “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat,” Luke 22:31

Peter indeed felt the pain of that sifting. But Oh! the comforting words of Jesus that immediately followed! “But I have prayed for thee . . .” Luke 22:32

We may have fiery trials, but whenever we do, be assured that our Lord is with us in the fire, and He will uphold those who trust in Him.

Job went through a living hell, but through it all he trusted in God, and God not only sustained him, He blessed him greatly in the end.

May this message encourage and inspire!
