Second 14-year-old teen dies from subway surfing in as many weeks- Friday 30 June 2023

For the second time in as many weeks, a 14-year-old boy has died after subway surfing in New York City.
The most recent incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at Queens Boulevard and 33rd Street in Queens.
The 14-year-old boy fell off a subway car and onto the tracks. He did not fall onto the street.
The victim was taken to Cohen Children's Medical Center in critical condition. He was pronounced dead a few hours later.
It comes a week after another 14-year-old was killed while subway surfing in Brooklyn.
