Brian Wolk is a passionate advocate for children and families who is running for the Tacoma School Board Director Position 5. Despite lacking political connections, Brian is deeply committed to addressing the concerns he sees within the city and its educational institutions. Drawing on his experience as a software engineer and former community college tutor, he has witnessed firsthand the impact of educational policies and seeks to challenge the prevailing ideological trends that dominate the current school board. Brian believes it is crucial to prioritize merit-based education and core subjects, recognizing the significance of equipping students with the skills they need to compete in the global job market. Furthermore, he is dedicated to raising awareness about the risks of child sexual abuse and predation, actively working on a petition, R-101, to reject SB 5599, a bill that threatens the values of the community.
