The final episode of Series One reaches a climax with the vast Roman City of Chester where a surprisingly large number of Roman finds still remain and even King Arthur makes a brief cameo appearance before proceedings conclude in the arena.

Series One (6 Episodes) ended in 2005 with an amazing 26% of the North West viewing public tuning in. ITV Granada’s Lost Treasures then joined the top 6 national programs nominated by ITV News Group as ‘Popular Feature Program Of The Year’ at their top London awards ceremony. It enjoyed repeated international screenings on Sky History Channel (at some points running 3 times a day), and a one hour special, Britain’s Lost Mega-Fortress, was produced in 2006, screened for Sky History Channel in 2007 and was also frequently repeated.
