Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced Thursday that a Texas grand jury found “no criminal act” committed during Travis Scott’s 2021 outdoor concert in Houston, Texas and decided not to indict the rapper. Ten people, including one nine-year-old, died of compression asphyxia when concertgoers at Astroworld surged toward the stage during Scott’s performance and crushed people in the process. Scott said he did not know of the dangerous conditions in the audience and continued to perform for nearly an hour after Astroworld attendees were crushed.
