Led By God

Knowledge, Wisdom, Kindness, Goodness, Discernment, Truth, Love… all these wonderful things deep within our inner spiritual core. Christ’s Holy Spirit in us, the hope of glory, He is functioning within us, leading us from within to respond godly without. When we react, flying into an emotional rage, nothing good happens. When we respond to God, when those suddenly things happen, we have His grace, kindness, truth and unconditional love inside of us, from within to without it goes. This is how God leads us out of human reaction to Holy Spirit Led response that is godly and heals, restores and revives. Reaction, kills, steals and destroys, it is from the enemy of our soul. Response, being Holy Spirit led, is abundant in love, truth, kindness and enhances value in our relationships.

“We have strong feelings, often driven by compelling circumstances. Yet all is worsened by giving our emotions free reign.” Robert J. Morgan

What happens when someone is trying to control you with their emotions of anger? How do you handle it? It is either react or respond. Our emotions are like a speed boat flying into an inlet full of currents, so beware when you let those emotions fly, something can go really wrong as we foolishly speed head on into into an inlet of jumbled up currents. The Holy Spirit is in our heart and when we respond to God first, drawing on the strength of God in us, we can have grace, goodness, and unconditional love. Where there is no grace given, there is no true God relationship found, it is all about religion, self-righteousness and religious doings. Being found in God, living through His strength, makes all things possible, and we can respond godly even if the current of the day is anger, bitterness, and mean-spirited banter.

When someone has narcissistic behavior and is trying to control us with emotional meanness, saying mean things, doing spiteful-retaliatory things, it feels impossible to respond godly. Sometimes we just “flesh out” in finite reaction. But with God, His Holy Spirit in us, we can respond godly by His strength, through His wisdom and discernment. Kindness and grace are lacking when self-righteousness, condemnation, and religiosity quench it. Sometimes we don’t lead with God’s grace, and we put condemnation on people by conditional judgements about assumed behavior, being critical about things that we are not even living up too, by punishing them emotionally, by placing conditions on them, and by ghosting them out of your life. When this kind of human reaction happens, what spirit are we working out of, it is not the Holy Spirit of God, so who is it then? Who is leading us?

When we are saved, yielding our lives to Jesus Christ, we get an amazing gift deposited deep within our inner spiritual core, it is God’s Holy Spirit. We can be navigated by His Spirit, at all times, no matter what. When we “react” with negative emotions, this will always be out of the human condition, it is a finite reaction and does not end well. A godly response is by the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, and it is always truth in love, and grace by way of mercy, and this response is not willed by us, but navigated by the power of the Holy Spirit of God in us. We are trusting God, not trying to fix things, but putting our faith in the Fixer, Jesus Christ, and allowing His Holy Spirit to work through us with truth and love. We can’t save people, Jesus is the Savior. Be silent, Be calm, Be still and stay confident in God, giving God time to work.
