Hosted by Brandi Kruse, Parents and surrounding community members of Lacey, WA gathered at Cutters Point Coffee Company to sign a resolution to content and force a vote on SB5599 after the legislation passed a vote in WA legislatures.

Attendees both inside and outside the coffee shop answered questions ranging from their reasons for being there, to weighing the value of the Vote of the Initiative against the Privileges/Rights espoused by the bill's supporters, to even aspects surround the Trans issue such as social media censoring the word "Cis" which has recently been described as a slur used against people not identifying as Trans/Queer.

Parents have contended that the piece of legislation shields activists within runaway shelters from having to disclose the location of children without even a confirmation from any child of a Self-Identification of Trans gender ideology. Meanwhile, Trans activists and other Self-ID/sexual kink promoters said that children should be able to receive gender affirming care because parents can't be trusted to handle/not abuse those on grounds of discriminating against those who are Transgender.

Hundreds were in attendance in Lacey, WA to sign the initiative out of opposition and had come over a period of 3-4 hours from 9 am to 12 pm. There were two sides, both being separated by the drive through segment leading around the coffee shop, but even with the presence of police protesters made physical attempts to intimidate and even physically harass/assault journalists filming the demonstration on public property.

The business owner eventually asked them to move strictly to the sidewalk before the tensions simmered. Filming by both sides still occurred but with police effectively separating the groups after the business request.

The filming occurred on June 24th, 2023 in Lacey, WA.
