Songs are very powerful. We sing songs that comfort us during times of sorrow and mourning. We sing songs of praise when we have overcome in a great fight. There are many kinds of songs that see us through, or build us up, or minister to our broken hearts.

The one hundred and forty four thousand will sing a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and "no man could learn that song," but only them which will be redeemed from the earth.

What captured my attention was that "no man could learn it." It is for them alone after they will be taken from the earth (future).Their songs will be a chorus of what they will have endured and went through during the "Time of Jacobs Trouble."

I believe our personal songs will undoubtedly be of great triumph and victory to Christ who set us free. It will be sung for all eternity. There will be singing from one end of heaven to the other of all saints of all time too.

David said, "In the night His song shall be with me, and my song to the God of my life." Deborah has a song that she sang after a formidable battle. Moses sang a glorious song after they crossed the Red Sea and their enemies "sank like lead" in the sea.

It seems to me that our entire personal lives on earth are being trained for a choir we cannot see as yet in heaven, and there will be parts of the chorus only you can sing. The deepest notes will belong to you. You will have a song, and I believe Jesus will sing it with you.

"O Dear soul, do not despise your school of sorrow, it is bestowing on you a unique part in the heavenly song." ~George Matheson
