I ordered multiple helmets for my 9 year old, but only Schwinn Thrasher Youth Bike Helmet worked well for us. The size of this helmet is perfect for a youths head.
It is well-manufactured and I did not find any plastic warped or broken parts on it. The CPSC logo and labels inside ensure that it is made of good quality materials.
The helmets made in earlier years had some issues, so make sure to check the manufacturing year before buying. The Youth S Thrasher helmet has comfortable straps that do not rub against the skin.
The padding inside the helmet is not too thin, making it comfortable for the wearer. It is easy to remove the padding for cleaning purposes. Although the visor looks sharp, it does not provide much shade and is mostly for aesthetic value.
The helmet is reasonably priced, making it a good purchase. Compared to the more expensive GIRO Youth Rascal, this helmet might not be as nicely made, but it does its job quite well.
Overall, I am pleased with this purchase and happy that we found a helmet that fits my child perfectly.
