Skip The Whole Fight! The Fastest And Most Efficient Ways To Defeat Story Bosses Hrist & Mist GMGOW+

Hrist & Mist don't have very much health even in the third phase. It feels like even less due to the fact they share the same health bar. Because of this you don't need to do anything fancy to get a standard fast kill. Just make use of Realm Shift and Sigil Punishment while using the Berserker chest piece and you can get a quick kill easily. Just make sure you wait till they have no health left before you use the Restart Checkpoint feature. In this fight you don't have to wait at all like you normally do in other boss fights so you can do it even faster.

However this fight can go even faster by skipping a whole phase of the encounter! The third phase at that which is the phase they are a bit tougher and have more health. I don't know exactly what makes it work or the exact details to get it perfect every time. From what I can tell if you wait as long as possible to defeat the Valkyries and deplete their health just before the cutscene starts where they throw Kratos over the edge it will give you the R3 prompt. I don't know why this is. The game must get confused because you should already be in a cutscene but you are using Realm Shift and the Valkyries already have no health left. I'm assuming the game somehow counts it as defeating them twice hence why the R3 prompt shows up. It isn't 100% consistent but it happens enough where you should try to get it. I tried it a dozen times in a row and got it 8 times. Even if you don't get it you don't really cause yourself a problem. Just defeat them the slightly slower way.
