The U.S. Supreme Court issued an opinion yesterday in Moore v. Harper, a highly anticipated opinion dealing with the Elections Clause in Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution. Former U.S. Representative John Hostettler joins Jenna to discuss this opinion and its possible impact on future elections, and a wider discussion of a runaway judiciary that is power-grabbing. We now live in a Juristocricy instead of a Constitutional Republic if we cede that the federal judiciary can simply claim power and issue opinions to pursue outcomes it decides it wants to. So how do we understand this as originalists and what can we do about it?
