How to use side imaging and read the shaded area doesn't have to be difficult. Understanding that structure and fish will appear as either bright marks or shadows is the key to side imaging. I walk through how i use side imaging in both shallow and deep water, the settings i use in both conditions, and how to tell what your fish finder is showing on screen.
