Kevin Spacey sex offenses trial adjourned for the day

The first day of Kevin Spacey's criminal trial for sex offenses in London's Southwark court has been adjourned following jury selection. The U.S. actor was expressionless as the judge read out 12 charges brought to him by four men: 3 counts of indecent assault, 7 of sexual assault, one of forcing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, and one of forcing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. Twelve jury members and two alternates were sworn in and warned by the judge not to speak to anyone about the trial until the case is over. Jury members were also asked to avoid watching news or social media reports on the trial "as much as possible." Proceedings resume Friday.
