Discovering the History and Beauty of Sterling Forest State Park

Hey everyone, welcome back to our channel! In today's video, we're taking you on a trip to Sterling Forest State Park, a beautiful natural refuge in the heart of the Ramapo Mountains in New York. This park is one of the largest additions to the state park system in the last 50 years, and it has a rich history of mining, conservation, and recreation.

We'll explore some of the park's 21,938 acres of pristine woodland, hike along some of the 60 miles of trails, and enjoy the scenic views of Sterling Lake and Greenwood Lake. We'll also learn about the park's wildlife, such as black bears, hawks, songbirds, and rare plants.

We were most excited about seeing some of the ruins as well as the gorgeous views of the valley and the lakes. Whether you're into fishing, biking, horseback riding, hunting, or just relaxing in nature, you'll find something to love at this park.
