The late, legendary musician Aretha Franklin could have lived anywhere across the globe but she always stayed close to her hometown of Detroit, Michigan. In fact, one of her former homes came up on the market last in 2022, for around $1 million – which was known as her Rose estate, as it’s the spot Aretha recorded her Grammy-nominated album “A Rose Is Still a Rose”. The large home boasts a great room with 30-foot, arched ceilings and a rose-colored crystal chandelier. Her love for roses was evident all over from the wallpaper to the fixtures and even the carpet where we see the large imprinted rose. Clearly, Aretha’s one-time properties had quite a meaning to her.
