Doom 64 Playthrough (Actual N64 Capture) - Hectic

This is part 2 of my 100% playthrough of Doom 64 on the Nintendo 64. This is not an emulator. This footage was captured directly from my Nintendo 64 using a real Doom 64 cartridge. I'm playing on Watch Me Die! difficulty.

In this second part I completed Map 32: Hectic, which is a secret level accessed from Map 1: Staging Area.

As far as I'm aware, this map has to be completed right after completing Map 1. I never received a password to access this level directly, nor was I able to save my game before starting this level. You can keep restarting Hectic if you die and don't reset your system, but you'll lose the weapons, health and armor that you carried over from the prior level.

I believe it's possible to achieve 100% item pickups on this level, but I think that requires frame-perfect movement, and you may have to die once as well. I didn't feel like restarting this level without my gear from the prior map, so I didn't achieve a 100% item rating here.

Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the official N64 S-video cable. I used a Toshiba model D-R550 DVD Recorder to upconvert the N64's native 240p signal to 480i so that the Hauppauge could capture the console's audio/video signal.

I'm using a standard Nintendo 64 controller.
